We had a very pleasant day on the water yesterday, the weather was just perfect to be outdoors and the scenery sublime. Dave and son Dane joined me for a day’s trout fishing on the middle river. Quite a few sedge about today.

After an initial bit of fly casting tuition, it was not long before Dane was into a fish.
It was soon followed by another, the day before we could not buy a bite on the river with the heavy atmosphere, but now with the fresher conditions the fish were up for it.

Ten takes and three trout landed, a good day out, we saw a few trout on the surface and a couple of salmon show and most important had some fun, thank you Dave and Dane for that!
