There were some incredible hatches throughout most of the day, a veritable smorgasbord of so many invertebrates that kept the birds and fish preoccupied. It was again a very cool wind from the north-west and the river had slowly risen around four inches during the day but still clear.
Had a superb day out on the river today with my good friend David Richens.
One or two fish were very obliging.
A good fish almost to the net.
Quickly admired and released.
