Had a very nice two days on the Eden after the Cockermouth AAPGAI meeting with Trevor Hayman. Nothing too serious just a chuck about and a chill (chill being the operative word!), the hatches in the cool wind were sparse and what there was did not turn the fish on.
First day on the lower river with Trevor above, a fine looking water and it was in great shape!
Big tides that day, over ten meters which took out nearly four hours of the days fishing until it receded.
A change of venue to the middle river the next day.
Although not many fish seen this far up the river just yet due to the water temperature barrier (another week or so will see that change), there seems to have been quite a few caught five miles below and down to near the estuary.
We had some fun all the same and great company, maybe next time your up this way Trevor!
