On the river today with my very good friends Warwick and Mary who are just a great laugh and wonderful company to be with.

The water had a slight peat tint and was running at just over six inches with a stiff upstream breeze today.

In between the high tide times we did not see any fish movement apart from the odd sea trout, it looks like most of the fish that were on the lower beats the previous weeks have now lifted upstream which will be great for the middle river.
No salmon to show for today, but to make up for it we had some magnificent displays from the Buzzards, Oyster catchers, Curlew, some great weather and good fun.
The Spey casting was very good also, thank you Warwick and Mary for a great day and good luck on the Stinchar!
